BEAUTY: LUXURY BEAUTY FAVOURITES

January 29, 2014

And here we have my luxury or high-end beauty favourites, for those of you that like to splash out from time to time.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Kit in Dim Light, £38.
There has been a lot of hype about this product. I don't know if creates that 'inner glow' I am looking for but it's a bloody good powder. And that's coming from somebody who doesn't believe in powders.

Burberry Dark Trench Nail Polish, £15.
My new favourite nail shade. I love the name and it's just a simple, gorgeous nude colour.

Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil, £31.
I've not long started using this but it's brilliantly lightweight, not at all heavy like some hair oils can be.

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Cologne, £39.
One of my very favourite Christmas scents. I packed it into my suitcase earlier in the week as I'm off to Chamonix today, and I've missed it so very much.

Jurlique Love Balm, £10.
Brilliant little balm. I'm going to get a lot of use out of this on this ski trip!

Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara, £24.50.
Another newbie. I tried out The Body Shop's Define and Lengthen mascara recently when my Ellis Faas one dried up and we just didn't get on. Fortunately the Armani Eyes To Kill has stepped in to keep my lashes looking long with no smudges.

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, £26.
Anna totally sold this one to me. I wanted something that was more portable and less fuss than a little brow palette and two brushes (one to apply, one spooly) and this seemed like a fab solution. It's taken me a while to work out how to best use it but I now love it. So easy and looks natural.

Unite 7 Seconds Leave In Conditioner
I can't find a link to this in the UK! It's as good as everyone says. I can confirm the rumours.

YSL Pure Chromatics Dessin Du Regard Waterproof Eye Pencil, £19.
World's best eyeliner? Stays put on my waterline all day. Blooming miracle worker.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, £34.50.
Now I've listed this as a favourite, but I have a shade too dark so I think I'd love it even more if I didn't have to mix it with a D&G foundation to get it right for my skintone. Hopefully some time abroad in the sun in March might help!

NUDE Advanced Renewal Moisturiser, £72.
Only just started using this but so far really enjoying it. I love NUDE stuff as a whole, but this is pricey, pricey, pricey.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Twist & Spray, £64.
Such a classic scent and I adore this twist packaging which means I can throw it in my handbag without worrying about it and there's something so satisfying about twisting it and then spraying. Love!

What high end or luxury products are you loving at the moment? I've got my eye on Jo Malone Incense & Embers candle.. not technically beauty but it counts in my book.

Right, I'm off to catch a plane! I won't be blogging for a few days until I'm back in the UK so follow what I'm up to on my Instagram.

  5. I just starting trying out the Bumble and Bumble oil, so far it is lovely! I'd say some of my pricey but worth it favourites are Illamasqua Hydra Veil, YSL Touche Eclat Foundation, Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes (love them all) Dior Creme de Rose Lip balm, and Nars Pro Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow base.

  8. Hey Lucy, I love your blog, I am obsessed, it's one of my favourites! :) My Mum picked up the Georgio Armani foundation you have pictured here, and she loves it.. it's so long lasting! I'd really like it if you could check out my blog as I have the smallest audience, and I'd be so grateful for you to have a look, thankyou :)
