LIFE: MY FAVOURITE THING TO EAT FOR BRUNCH

Brunch is, without doubt, the most wonderful meal of all. Halfway between breakfast and lunch, the lines between what is acceptable breakfast food and what isn't, become blurred. I'm a big fan of all things brunch, but my very favourite thing to whip up lately is this...

Here we've got a New York Bakery Co. cinnamon and raisin bagel, very lightly toasted and coated in Lurpak. Having a sweet bagel makes all the difference here, I've tried it with sesame seed and it's just not as good. Top that with a perfectly poached egg (4 minutes on the hob in a Poach Pod = perfection), a hefty sprinkling of Maldon sea salt and two rashers of streaky bacon.

  2. That looks delicious. Poached eggs are my favourite. I'd be tempted to add a good dollop of hollandaise over the top, generous with the lemon :)
