REVIEW: DIPTYQUE AMBER OUD CANDLE

December 01, 2012

Full size £45, small size £25.

You already know I love Diptyque Feu de Bois – it’s wintery rather than ‘Christmassy’, subtly smoky wood scents galore. Diptyque have released their 2012 Christmas collection, Arabian Nights, which contains three gorgeous scents; Sapin DorĂ© (pine needles), Oliban (frankincense) and my favourite of all, Amber Oud*. I’ve got a penchant for amber scents in the cold weather. My most luxurious perfume is the Armani PrivĂ© Rose D’Arabie which has very similar notes to Amber Oud and is perfect in the winer months. The packaging is obviously very beautiful (I’d expect no less from this brand) but also adds a touch of festive red to a room.

I’ve been burning this in the bedroom for the most part and it blends so well with Feu de Bois. The perfect Christmas gift!

  1. I've never tried Diptyque or smelt them. I always seem to bypass them in Space NK but next time I'll have a good look. I love candles
